Sonnet: To Hunger, Goodbye

Written by: Lipi Bag, Blog Team- TOHRI

I saw thirty of them struggle
For grabbing those eggs
Alas! I just had three.
So, all I could do is gaze, at those faces meekly.
Running across in hunger and fatigue,
These were children of the street.

The epidemic of Malnutrition has been,
One of the major problems that the world has seen.
One meal a day is something that they cherish
Without proper food, we all know one would perish
We can go on wasting our luxury
But think for a while for those toddlers living in misery

Oh! If only we could care,
For the kids who live in fear.
Donate those leftovers to that little one,
Let’s make the world free from starvation.
